Floor Restoration Services for Schools
Sports hall, assembly hall and classroom floor restoration for schools in Epping, completed during the holidays.
Wooden floors for schools
From sports halls to Victorian classrooms, school floors see constant heavy use. Over time the lacquer wears through, court markings fade, boards loosen and the surface can become slippery or splintered. Our team restores school floors so they are safe, hardwearing and good-looking again.
Our school services
Full sanding and refinishing of sports halls, assembly halls and classrooms
Slip-resistant sports lacquers suited to PE and games
Court markings painted between coats and sealed under the final lacquer
Replacing damaged blocks and boards before sanding
Working in the holidays
Most of our school work is booked into the holidays, and the summer fills up quickly. Curing time for the lacquer is built into the plan, so the hall is ready when term starts. Small areas can often be completed over a weekend.
Paperwork for schools
Every school project includes full RAMS, COSHH data for our finishes and our £5m public liability insurance certificate. We follow your site rules, sign in and out and keep work areas secured.
Why schools choose to restore
Original school floors are often high-quality hardwood that simply cannot be bought at the same price today. A restoration is far cheaper than a replacement and much quicker to complete. It is also the greener option, keeping good timber in use. We provide a clear, fixed quote that fits school budgeting and procurement processes.
Maintaining your school floor
Good daily care makes a big difference. Barrier mats, pH-neutral cleaners and periodic re-coats all extend the life of the finish. We give your site team written guidance after every job.
Related services
School work is part of our wider public spaces service. A lacquer re-coat every few years extends the life of the floor between full sands. Loose blocks are fixed through our parquet floor repairs. Have a look at our recent projects.
Questions about floor restoration services for schools
Can you supply RAMS for our site?
Yes — we supply RAMS and insurance certificates for every commercial or public project. We are used to working in schools, churches and offices with strict safety rules.
Can the work fit around term times?
Yes — we plan school and public projects around term dates, events and opening hours. Most halls are finished in a few days, so the space is back in use quickly.
When can I walk on the floor again?
You can usually walk on the floor in socks after a few hours. Furniture can go back after 24–48 hours, and rugs are best left off for around a week while the finish fully cures.
Do you work outside Epping?
Our team works across Epping and the neighbouring towns and villages. Not sure if you are covered?, get in touch — we are often happy to travel for larger jobs.
Can you repaint sports hall markings?
Yes. After sanding we apply sports-grade lacquer and can repaint court markings to your layout between coats so they are sealed in. Read more about our school floor restoration.
Do you carry insurance?
Yes, we carry £5m public liability insurance. We can send certificates on request, which facilities managers and landlords often need before work starts.

Coopersale
Engineered floor sanded beautifully
“Another company told us our engineered floor could not be sanded. These guys checked the wear layer and found plenty to work with. It looks like it was laid yesterday.”
Ongar
Decking looks much better
“The deck looks warm and rich again. We had to rebook once because of rain, which is understandable, and they rearranged quickly. Happy with the result.”
