Garden Decking Revival
A grey, slippery garden deck in Epping cleaned, sanded and protected with UV decking oil.
About this project
The decking had turned grey after several winters, with green algae making it slippery in the shade. The owners were considering replacing it.
We deep cleaned the boards, replaced a couple of split boards and secured loose screws. The deck was then sanded to remove the weathered surface and raised grain.
Two coats of UV-resistant decking oil bring out the colour of the timber and protect it from the weather. The result looks close to new — for a fraction of replacement cost.
